it was fate and nearly last call. She loved his joke about lesbians–and nobody laughs at that joke. In a matter of months he moved from having one drawer in her apartment, to two and then one day just never left. Luckily for him, she paid the rent.
For 6 months we commuted the 1.5 hours to and from SF together fueled on energy drinks and gas station hot dogs. We were both surprised that instead of wanting to kill each other the time in the car made us closer.
In 2012 we moved to San Francisco where we have been happily living until someone repeatedly reminded him that common law marriage doesn't exist in California...so here we are.
